Has The Land War Begun: Turkish Tanks Are Firing Into Syria

As the following clip from Turkey's DHA news agency shows, one may wonder if NATO-member Turkey's land invasion of Syria, which many have said was long overdue following months of rhetoric and belligerent posturing, under the pretext of ISIS "liberation", has just begun.

Turkey Permits U.S. To Use Its Airbase For Air Strikes Against Syria

Earlier we asked in "one may wonder if NATO-member Turkey's land invasion of Syria, which many have said was long overdue following months of rhetoric and belligerent posturing, under the pretext of ISIS "liberation", has just begun." A following report from the WSJ largely answers our question: citing unnamed defense officials, WSJ reports that after months of negotiations, "Turkey has agreed to let the U.S. military carry out airstrikes against Islamic State fighters from a U.S. air base near the Syrian border."

Americans Have a Choice On How the Nation Will Die

by Dave Hodges, The Common Sense Show:
Nations are like people, they have a character, a personality and a persona. They either have resilience and can bounce back from adversity, or they do not. They either have courage or they cower in the corner because they are weak and timid in the face of danger. And like with the two men, when countries face the same challenges, one country may thrive and the other country takes a dive.
This article is about the story of a tale of two countries. One has stared into the belly of the beast and has survived. The other country is in the process of being devoured by the same beast but is totally unaware of the ultimate and fatal fate that awaits most of its anesthetized citizens who are drunk and distracted on TV, video games, drugs, consumerism, etc.

Central Banks Have Shot Their Wad - Why The Casino Is In For A Rude Awakening, Part I

There has been a lot of chatter in recent days about the plunge in commodity prices - capped off by this week’s slide of the Bloomberg commodity index to levels not seen since 2002. That epochal development is captured in the chart below, but most of the media gumming about the rapidly accelerating “commodity crunch” misses the essential point. To wit, the central banks of the world have shot their wad.  The Bloomberg Commodity index is a slow motion screen shot depicting the massive intrusion of worldwide central bankers into the global economic and financial system. Their unprecedented spree of money printing took the aggregate global central bank balance sheet from $3 trillion to $22 trillion over the last 15 years. The consequence was a deep and systematic falsification of financial prices on a planet-wide scale.

The Hunt For The "Mystery" Gold "Bear Raid" Leader Begins

Fast forward to this morning when in yet another Reuters piece, we "find" that the narrative has shifted once more and that now, "traders from Hong Kong to New York are pointing the finger at others for being behind the move while struggling to unmask the mystery sellers." In other words: the "hunt" for the great gold "bear raid leader" has begun.

Is The Echo Housing Bubble About To Burst?

Speculative bubbles that burst are often followed by an echo bubble, as many participants continue to believe that the crash was only a temporary setback. But, echo bubbles aren't followed by a third bubble.

3 Things: Steel, Sentiment, & Productivity

Innovation in technology reduces the need for labor. More individuals are sitting outside the labor force increase the demand for available jobs. Increased competition for available jobs suppresses wage growth. It is a virtual spiral that continues to apply downward pressure on an economy based nearly 70% on consumption. Importantly, what small increases there have been in unit labor costs have primarily come at the expense of higher benefit and healthcare costs rather than an increase in wages. As discussed previoulsy, for roughly 80% of the working labor force, wages have declined over the last five years. Janet Yellen is right that wages will have a hard time increasing without a pick up in productivity. The issue is that innovation IS the problem, not the solution. That is unless we begin to include the productivity of robots.

The Company At The Center Of The Criminal Fed Leak Probe Was Just Sold

In the middle of the biggest criminal scandal involving the Fed, but also an FT-owned expert network (an FT which until today was owned by Pearson), the expert network known as Medley Global Advisors just changed its owners, from the FT/Pearson to Japan's Nikkei, in a transaction advised by Rothschild for the buyer and Goldman, Evercore and JPM for the seller.

PIMCO "Sees Long-Term Value" In Chicago's "Junk" Ahead Of Key Court Ruling

Junk-rated Chicago is paying nearly 8% to issue debt these days and although the city's fiscal woes are set to persist, some asset managers are taking the plunge ahead of a key court ruling scheduled for Friday.

Schaeuble – The Man Behind The Throne

Schäuble seems to have foresaw the crisis back in 1994, distinguishing between core members and non-core members. Therefore, his thinking is quite different from that of France. Behind the curtain, the federalization of Europe is the ultimate goal, although politicians always denied that in front of the curtain. The curtain is starting to be drawn, but the equal federalization of Europe was never part of the German mindset.

China Spends 10% Of GDP On "All Bark, No Bite" Stock Bailout

"Public statements, media reports and market data reveal that Beijing unleashed 5 trillion yuan in funds - equivalent to nearly 10 percent of China's GDP in 2014 and greater than the 4 trillion yuan it committed in response to the global financial crisis - to calm a savage share sell-off. Beijing has thus produced the equivalent of around 1 index point gain for every $1 billion committed," Reuters reports.

Commodities Collapsed Just Before The Last Stock Market Crash – So Guess What Is Happening Right Now?

by Michael Snyder, The Economic Collapse Blog:
If we were going to see a stock market crash in the United States in the fall of 2015 (to use a hypothetical example), we would expect to see commodity prices begin to crash a few months ahead of time.  This is precisely what happened just before the great financial crisis of 2008, and we are watching the exact same thing happen again right now.  On Wednesday, commodities got absolutely pummeled, and at this point the Bloomberg Commodity Index is down a whopping 26 percent over the past twelve months.  When global economic activity slows down, demand for raw materials sinks and prices drop.  So important global commodities such as copper, iron ore, aluminum, zinc, nickel, lead, tin and lumber are all considered to be key “leading indicators” that can tell us a lot about where things are heading next.  And what they are telling us right now is that we are rapidly approaching a global economic meltdown.

The World Economy in One Visualization

from Visual Capitalist:
Today’s data visualization is the most simple breakdown of the world economy that we’ve seen. Not only is it split to show the GDP of dozens of countries in relation to one another based on size, but it also subtly divides each economy into its main sectors: agriculture, services, and industry. The lightest shade in each country corresponds to the most primitive economic activity, which is agriculture. The medium shade is industry, and the darkest shade corresponds to services, which tends to make up a large portion of GDP of developed economies in the world economy.
To take it one step further, the visualization also shades the countries by continental geography, to easily see the relative economic contributions of North America, Europe, South America, Asia, Oceania, and Africa.

How to Make Cottage Cheese and Sour Cream from Raw Milk

by Daisy Luther, The Organic Prepper:
Do you have a source of delicious, creamy raw milk? Or, as our grandparents used to call it, milk?
If you do, you probably cringe when you have to go to the store and purchase dairy products from pasteurized milk. Well, cringe no more, because it is unbelievably easy to make your own homemade dairy products, like cottage cheese and sour cream.
And by “unbelievably easy” I mean that you pour milk into a bowl, cover it with a towel, and leave it on the counter for 2 or 3 days.

A Golden Firesale

from Outsider Club:

I don’t understand the joy some Wall Street guys get from watching gold and its investors suffer.
There’s a word for this in German: Schadenfreude. It means deriving pleasure from another’s misfortune.
Though I’m a gold bull and a fiat skeptic, it delights me not if stocks go down. I own those, too. The exception would be in the case of an overvalued market or stock — one that needed to go down. Still, it wouldn’t make me happy because someone who owned that stock lost money, but rather because order was being restored to the market.
I don’t know if stocks are overvalued. I know they’ve largely gone up for dubious reasons, but reasons that are part of our current reality nonetheless. The S&P is currently trading with a P/E of 20.83. Its historical mean is 15.54.

Gold Smash Leads to Surge in Demand For Coins, Bars Around World

from Gold Core:
The manipulative smash on the gold price on Sunday night has once again led to a surge of buying of gold coins and bars across the globe. Both the Wall Street Journal and Reuters report on how bullion dealers are seeing a spike in demand for gold coins and bars in India and China and indeed Europe, Australia and the U.S.
The U.S. Mint – which ran out of Silver Eagles earlier in the month due to unexpectedly high demand – has sold 110,000 Gold Eagle one ounce coins so far this month according to Reuters. This compares with a mere 21,500 ounces sold in May and 76,000 in June. It represents the highest level of monthly demand in over two years – with more than a week to go till the end of the month.

GOOD GUY WINS: Vietnam Veteran Shoots Armed Robber At Gas Station; “I Just Did What I Had To Do”

from Concealed Nation:
A vietnam veteran was out for a typical day, and walked into a gas station to break a $20. His day changed quickly when a young thug came in with a gun.
The veteran, Don Rogers, is being hailed a hero by the gas station clerk for likely saving his life. “I wish the day could’ve went by without this happening,” said Rogers. “I just did what I had to do.”
“I heard somebody say “put the money in the bag”. So I looked up and I seen this gentleman holding a pistol on the clerk,” said Rogers. The firearm-carrying Rogers was scared, but he knew what he had to do. “And when I did, he looked over at me and turned my way and I fired a shot. And he grabbed his side and then I fired two more shots before he got out the door,” said Rogers.

Spiritual Alchemy: Understanding The 3 Stages

from ZenGardner:
The ancient sages, since the time of Alexandria have long studied personal transformation and found ways of transmuting the self into the purest form possible.
In 1936, during the Sotheby’s auction, the world bore witness to the unbelievable, irrational, and unacceptable surprise: Isaac Newton dabbled in alchemy. It would only later be found and forcefully turned to fact that the major portion of the modern world’s most influential genius work was on alchemy.
Alchemy is the art of transmuting energies, transforming one to the other, and in the process transforming the existing form into something new, and ideally exalted — far beyond the existing one.

11 Signs That America Has Already Gone Down The Toilet

by Michael Snyder, End of the American Dream:
Just when you think that the depravity of the United States cannot possibly get any worse, something else comes along to surprise us.  Many of the things that you are about to read about in this article are incredibly disturbing, but it is important that we face the truth about how far this nation has fallen.  There are times when I will be having a conversation with someone else about the state of our country, and the other person will say something like this: “Wow – America is really going down the toilet.”  At one time, I would have totally agreed with that.  But at this point I would have to say that we have already circled the bowl and have made it all the way through to the other end.  Our society is absolutely addicted to entertainment (most of which is utter trash), tens of millions of us are hooked on drugs (both legal and illegal), and we have murdered more than 56 million of our own babies.  Our financial system is consumed with greed, we treat our military veterans like human garbage, and most of our “leaders” in Washington D.C. are deeply corrupt.  In America today, 64 percent of all men view pornography at least once per month, it is estimated that one out of every four girls is sexually abused before they become adults, and we have the highest teenage pregnancy rate in the entire industrialized world.  We like to think that we are an “example” to the rest of the world, but the only example that we are setting is a bad one.  The following are 11 signs that America has already gone down the toilet…
#1 All over the United States, the body parts of aborted babies are being bought and sold, and the U.S. government gives the organization at the heart of this sick “industry” hundreds of millions of dollars a year.  This week, another incredibly shocking undercover video has been released which has given us even more evidence of what Planned Parenthood is really up to

Capital Exodus from China Reaches $800 Billion as Crisis Deepens

by Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, The Telegraph:
China is engineering yet another mini-boom. Credit is picking up again. The Communist Party has helpfully outlawed falling equity prices. Economic growth will almost certainly accelerate over the next few months, giving global commodity markets a brief reprieve.
Yet the underlying picture in China is going from bad to worse. Robin Brooks at Goldman Sachs estimates that capital outflows topped $224bn in the second quarter, a level “beyond anything seen historically”.
The Chinese central bank (PBOC) is being forced to run down the country’s foreign reserves to defend the yuan. This intervention is becoming chronic. The volume is rising. Mr Brooks calculates that the authorities sold $48bn of bonds between March and June.

Lake Mead reaches another record low as water apocalypse nears for Las Vegas, a city living in denial

by Daniel Barker, Natural News:
The severe droughts affecting the western United States are approaching apocalyptic proportions as the water level of Lake Mead – America’s largest capacity reservoir – has reached the lowest point in its history.
Lake Mead, which was formed when the Hoover Dam was built, supplies water to around 40 million people and is also a crucial agricultural resource in the region. Humans, livestock and crops in Arizona, California, Nevada and even northern Mexico depend on water from Lake Mead (and the Colorado River which feeds it) for power, drinking water and irrigation.
Major metropolitan areas including Las Vegas and Phoenix also rely heavily on Lake Mead water.

MSNBC Stunned by Clinton’s Upside Down Poll Numbers

by Kurt Nimmo, Infowars:
A Morning Joe panel on MSNBC found it difficult to accept that Hillary Clinton is unpopular and her poll numbers are upside down in crucial swing states. Joe Scarborough and cohost Mika Brzezinski, the daughter of arch globalist Zbigniew Brzezinski, reacted with incredulity.
Scarborough said he figured Jeb Bush’s numbers are similar and expressed exasperation that “somebody like Donald Trump attacking politicians is actually getting support.” NBC correspondent Chuck Todd said if not for the establishment media coverage of Donald Trump, the story would be the Bernie Sanders “boomlet” and Hillary Clinton’s failure to solidify support within the Democrat party.
Todd added that whenever Clinton is presented as “the face of the Democratic party” her numbers have declined in the polls.

Crappy Days are here again...

So long sad times
Hello bad times
You are here at last

Howdy bad times
Blood in the street times
You will never be a thing of the past

Crappy days are here again
The skies above are full of drones again
So let's hope it's not our turn again
Crappy days are here again

Altogether shout it now
There's no one left
Who can doubt it now
So there's nobody left to tell the world about it now
Crappy days are here again

Your cares and troubles are gone because your dead
There'll be no more from now on
From now on ...

Crappy days are here again
The skies above are full of drones again
So let's hope it's not our turn again
Crappy days are here again

Crappy times
Crappy nights
Crappy days
Are here again!
