"Russia and Iran have very similar objectives in that they both want to eject U.S. influence from Iraq. Any success that the militias have bolsters that goal."
Ban Ki-Moon Condemns The American Stand On Syria, Endorses Putin's
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/01/2015 - 18:05 In an interview with Spanish newspapers that was published October 31st, U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon condemned U.S. President Barack Obama’s demand that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad be removed from office, and Moon said: “The future of Assad must be determined by the Syrian people." The U.N. Secretary General's detailed comments are implicitly blaming all of this - lots of blood and misery - on U.S. President Obama, and on the “many Western countries” who ally with him and have joined with him in demanding regime-change in Syria. Ban ki-Moon took a rare courageous position here: what he said was correct, though it’s virtually unmentionable in the West.

As the U.S. Department of State continues to release thousands of pages of former secretary Hillary Clinton’s private server emails, the White House wants some electronic communications between she and President Barack Obama to remain private.
The State Department on Friday released 7,000 additional pages of Clinton’s emails that were kept on a non-government email server while she was the department chief — its sixth and largest mass email release so far this year.
More than half of Clinton’s private server emails have now been released, in accordance with a lawsuit filed under the Freedom of Information Act.

Jiji Press, Oct 29, 2015: 9.4 Sieverts Detected outside Fukushima Reactor Containment Vessel– [TEPCO] said Thursday that radiation levels of up to 9.4 sieverts per hour have been detected outside a reactor containment vessel… People exposed to the maximum radiation dose for some 45 minutes will die. TEPCO expects decontamination work to take at least one month. Checks conducted on Sept. 4-25 found the extremely high radiation levels at a cell which accommodates a pipe connected to the containment vessel of the No. 2 reactor…
Japan Times (via Jiji), Oct 30, 2015 (emphasis added): Deadly 9.4 sieverts detected outside Fukushima reactor 2 containment vessel; checks stop… Details behind the situation are unknown, according to the company. Tepco planned to start in August to check the inside of the containment vessel by using a remote-controlled robot but high radiation levels have stalled the examination. Extremely high radiation levels and theinability to grasp the details about melted nuclear fuel make it impossible for the utility to chart the course of its planned decommissioning of the reactors at the plant.

JPM Quants: The Catalyst For The October Rally Is Over; "All 4 Sectors Are Currently Long Equities"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/01/2015 - 17:26 In all, while balanced mutual funds and risk parity funds are the ones which appear to have triggered the equity rally since the end of September, the rally was amplified at around mid October by CTA capitulation. The reversal of CTAs equity exposure from a short to a long position means that all four sectors, CTAs, Discretionary Macro hedge funds, risk parity funds and multi-asset or balanced mutual funds, are currently long equities.Stocks, Symmetry, & A Significant Threat To The Global Economy
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/01/2015 - 16:55 Central banks can’t afford a big correction to take place as it goes counter to their mandate, a stable growing economy, hence they interfere every single time a correction of size is about to unfold. And any threat to the global economy must be prevented. Now that fiscal year end mark-ups are over for many funds buyers have to prove how committed they are to driving markets higher. Price will ultimately confirm how this will play out, but altogether this chart is an amazing construct of symmetry and, as fans of structures and symmetry, it certainly has our attention. We can’t recall ever seeing such a precise structure."Social Expenditures" In the US Are Higher Than All Other OECD Countries, Except France
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/01/2015 - 15:45 While redistributive social spending in the US is indeed different from many other countries, the overall magnitude is actually greater (both proportionally and in absolute terms) in the US than in almost all other countries measured. One can argue that the way that the wealth is redistributed through public policy in the US is "wrong" or "suboptimal." But, to argue that there is less redistribution as a result of public policy in the US than elsewhere is simply wrong.First China, Now Russia: US Navy Chief Debates European Escalation Amid "Fears For The Global System"
In a shockingly quick confirmation of our gravest concerns, Admiral John Richardson, chief of naval operations, told The FT that the navy was reassessing its global posture in the face of the Russian activity, which stretches from the Black Sea and Mediterranean to the Pacific. Amid China's island-building in the South China Sea (30% of global trade), and Russia's highest level naval activity in 20 years in The Mediterranean (20% of global trade), Richardson warns, rather ominously, the "ambiguous motivations" of China and Russia raised fears about the health of a global system that ensures freedom: "It again perturbs that global system," he said, adding that "the current model... has been threatened?"A Market Worthy Of The Line: "Do You Feel Lucky?"
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/01/2015 - 14:35 The now immortal line spoken by Clint Eastwood as "Dirty Harry" (1971 Warner Bros.) has never fit as a descriptor these financial markets more so than it does today. For if you believe you’re investing as opposed to gambling? These markets are now poised to show everyone the difference.Sunday Humor: Israel Accidentally Carves Russian Warplane Into Pumpkin For Halloween Facebook Post
Epic fail...The Relevance Of Gold - Sprott's 3 Litmus Tests
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 11/01/2015 - 13:20 The investment thesis for gold has never been limited to popular relationships, such as CPI-type inflation, financial meltdown or political instability. We prefer to focus on the irretrievable gap between financial assets (claims on future output) and productive output (GDP). In essence, the most compelling reason to own gold is that financial assets have lost their underpinnings to sustainable productive output. In a fiery speech Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro threatened to sue the United States over a State Department decree declaring Venezuela a “national security threat”. The decree has been used as a weapon to damage Venezuela’s economy.
Never one to mince words, in March 2013 then-Vice-President Maduro had announced the death of President Hugo Chavez , while the same day expelling two US diplomats accused of spying on the Venezuelan military.
Maduro used that same press conference to accuse the US and other foreign countries of poisoning or infecting Chavez to bring on his terminal cancer.

There is an air of desperation steadily rising within the Republican establishment. And panic.
You can tell by the rising level and tenor of criticism directed at the party’s current (and longest-serving) presidential frontrunner — billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump who, thus far, has thwarted all GOP and Democratic attempts to knock him out of the race.
Now, it seems, the GOP establishment, which is all-in for the next member of the Bush ruling dynasty, Jeb, has even taken to issuing vague threats against The Donald.

While doing the protest, ISIS shot down a Russian Passenger airliner over SInai!!! Could our call against US state sponsored terrorism be any more significant? The US is run by criminal, rogue, and demonic people, and the government is illegitimate!

The Republican Party that came to power promising to fix this country’s massive debt problems has just sold the entire country down the river. Just shortly after 3 a.m. EDT on Friday, with no media coverage and long after most Americans had gone to bed, the United States Senate voted to grow our nation’s debt and bust budget caps. In essence, they gave President Obama a credit card with no spending limit.
The final vote on passage was 64-35, with 18 Republicans helping Democrats ram this reckless spending bill through the Senate. Even Senators who voted against the bill betrayed the American Public by promising to filibuster the bill and then doing nothing to stop it.
