The founding editor of Business Insider UK, Jim Edwards, has had two tweets removed by Twitter at the request of Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). Jim claims that in an e-mail from Bank of America, the bank threatened to remove the editor’s Twitter if he “kept it up.”
While this is only two tweets, there is a principle at stake. Investment banks apparently have the power to censor journalists on Twitter, simply by asking.
In the tweets Edwards had quoted a research document produced by analyst Teo Lasarte at Bank of America. One of the tweets was recoverable – which reads: “BAML’s Teo Lasarte is developing a pun-based method for analyzing auto stocks.” On Business Insider Jim Edwards continues:

Jan Helfeld is a political journalist who has been traveling around and asking politicians some of the same awkward questions that work to expose the illegitimacy of their authority. His questions were extremely simple and many times ridiculed as “stupid” by the politicians that he interviewed, because he was attempting to establish moral principles using the Socratic method.
Helfeld would lead the people he interviewed to this conclusion, which resulted in an incredibly entertaining encounter nearly every time.

Is it not absolutely astounding that at every incident in which a gun is used in a crime, engineered or otherwise, the tyrant Barack Hussein Obama, along with other corrupt politicians and Hollywood’s hypocritical ant-gun teachers, stands against The Bill of Rights. This is the very Bill of Rights that our founders established, which these treasonous individuals attack only to disarm, to strip and to leave defenseless the American people from defending themselves against criminal.
It is the duty and obligation of the president to uphold the Constitution of the United States, not to tear it down and attempt to recreate it in his devilish and tyrannical image (John 10:10). Friends, this is the voice of a tyrant!

A friend sent me a news item from U.S. News and World Report which reported that Louisiana’s board of education is going to implement a new policy which requires all students to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid in order to receive a high school diploma – LINK.
Think about that for a moment. In order to receive a high diploma, the State of Louisiana is requiring that high school seniors fill out an application which would enable them to go into debt the moment they receive their diploma.
This is a mind-blowing event. Most jobs available to high school grads do not require a college degree. But some might require a high school diploma.

It was 1720, and Paris was completely mad.
The city’s brand new stock exchange, located at the ultra-swanky Hotel de Soissons, swarmed with citizens of all stripes looking to get rich.
Stocks were still a novel concept back then, and the allure of getting rich overnight was so appealing that people lined up for hours to buy shares.
The most popular was the ill-fated Mississippi Company, whose share price frequently rose up to 20% in the course of a single morning.

Of particular interest to Lynch is her intention to prosecute journalists who dare to criticize the Refugee/Resettlement program of the Obama administration being carried out on behalf of the United Nations in which Muslims (no Christians) are admitted to the U.S. without being screened for threats to national security.

A recent statement by a Turkish

Syria can be regarded as “official acknowledgment” that the operation to

“When on November 24 the Turkish fighter jet treacherously fired a
rocket at our Su-24, the Turkish General Staff was perfectly aware
about when and where our two bombers would be carrying out their
mission,” ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov told journalists on Wednesday.

According to Russian Television on December 25th, Russian intelligence has counted “up to 12,000” tanker trucks filled with oil “on the Turkish-Iraqi border,” and “the final destination remains to be Turkey.” In addition, some of those trucks are still heading into Turkey from Syria, but their number is “decreased” because Russia’s Syrian bombing campaign, which started on September 30th, has, ever since they began bombing the oil trucks on November 18th, destroyed “up to 2,000” of those trucks, that were in Syria heading into Turkey.
According to the news report, Russia is requesting help from the U.S. coalition to bomb the “up to 12,000” trucks that are in Iraq carrying ISIS oil into Turkey.

As analysts question Donald Trump’s latest foray into colorful language, some facts have emerged that some Trump supporters say might set the record straight.
The Republican presidential front-runner kicked off the fuss Monday night when, in Grand Rapids, Mich., he told supporters that Democrat rival Hillary Clinton is a loser.
“Even a race to Obama, she was gonna beat Obama,” he said then. “I don’t know who would be worse, I don’t know, how could it be worse? But she was going to beat — she was favored to win — and she got schlonged, she lost, I mean she lost,” Trump said.

The federal agency now insists it has the right to “direct mandatory AIT screening for some passengers,” even if they refuse.

Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/27/2015 - 13:57 Q. Could oil prices collapse to $20?A. The short answer is ‘yes.’ We believe that crude oil prices could fall further unless global oil production is reduced. We believe that the weakness in crude oil prices reflects a combination of fundamental factors and financial flows. Fundamentally there is simply too much oil... the current supply-demand balance is not sustainable; something has to give.
Lessons From The Late '20s - Why Bubbles Abound
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 12/27/2015 - 13:25 Market-based Credit is unstable. This remains the fundamental issue – the harsh reality – that no one dares confront. Long-term stability in a Capitalistic system requires sound money and Credit (hopelessly archaic, we admit). Over the years, we've tried to differentiate traditional finance from unfettered “New Age” finance. The former, bank lending-dominated Credit, was generally contained by various mechanisms (including the gold standard, effective currency regimes, bank capital and reserve requirements, etc.). This is in stark contrast to the current-day securities market-based global financial “system” uniquely operating without restraints on either the quantity or quality of Credit created. There’s no precedence for such a globalized monetary fiasco, though there are a number of historical episodes that provide valuable insight.Slumlord? In his article, published in popular Austrian news blog Neopresse, Schlereth suggested that if in Russia, corruption and bribery generally have a ‘bottom-up’ nature, in the US, it is a phenomenon which is inherent to the highest levels of political power.
