Dear CIGAs,
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, happy holidays whatever your faith or no faith may be!  We have become a “politically correct” society where people get offended for the most ridiculous, or should I say “we are told” to be careful what we say or do because we might offend someone. A reader sent me the below regarding “political correctness.”
What is meant by the modern term referred to as ‘POLITICAL CORRECTNESS’…
Someone found the definition of “political correctness” in 4 telegrams at the Truman Library and Museum in Independence Missouri.
The following are copies of four telegrams between President Harry Truman and Gen Douglas MacArthur on the day before the actual signing of the WWII Surrender Agreement in September 1945..  The contents of those four telegrams below are exactly as received at the end of the war – not a word has been added or deleted!
(1) Tokyo,Japan
0800-September 1,1945
To: President Harry S Truman

Tomorrow we meet with those yellow-bellied bastards and sign the Surrender Documents, any last minute instructions?
(2) Washington, D C
1300-September 1, 1945

Congratulations, job well done, but you must tone down your obvious dislike of the Japanese when discussing the terms of the surrender with the press, because some of your remarks are fundamentally not politically correct!

Wilco Sir, but both Chester and I are somewhat confused, exactly what does the term politically correct mean?

Political Correctness is a doctrine, recently fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and promoted by a sick mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end!
Now, with special thanks to the Truman Museum and Harry himself, you and I finally have a full understanding of what ‘POLITICAL CORRECTNESS’ really means…..
I’d like to point something out obvious to me but apparently lost on some of those who want to impose “political correctness” on others.  We are told we should not offend anyone with different religious beliefs than our own …so wishing a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah or whatever is “offensive”.  Really?  I think it is offensive being told this is offensive!  Just how do you believe this nation was formed in the first place?  We are a nation of religious refugees who came to America to practice their religion freely.
We are now told we should take 1,000′s of “religious” refugees from the Middle East (mostly men under 45 years old who forgot to flee with their women and children), 99+% are Muslim.  Today it is politically incorrect to oppose people whose religion believes everyone should convert to their religion and condones (suggests) death to anyone who doesn’t convert.  Being “politically incorrect” as I am, I’m not so sure it’s a great idea to allow this transparent Trojan horse in.  I know, having this view sort of makes me a terrorist doesn’t it?
While on the subject of terrorists, how is it American soldiers are considered terrorists when they return home?  It’s not as if these patriotic men and women were drafted and protected our country against their own will …no, these men and women WILLINGLY joined the armed forces!  Why are they considered threats that should be precluded from purchasing firearms after they return home?  What happened?  Did they see or learn something while in the service that make them terroristic?  I say “God bless them” even if it is politically incorrect!
Here in Texas (God bless Texas!) we have a restaurant chain who took “political incorrectness” to the limit!  Berryhill Baja Grill whose CEO is Jewish posted a sign:

WOW!  Can you imagine that?!!!  They salute the flag, say Merry Christmas, God bless America …AND they give thanks to our troops, firefighters and police?  This is definitely a terrorist organization!  The best part is this, they say “If this offends you, you are welcome to LEAVE”!  Followed by the blasphemy of all blasphemies “In God we Trust”!  I can’t believe it …a corporation telling you to go away if you are offended by their good wishes and belief in God!  Of course, some of you are snickering thinking  “there goes their sales and bottom line”.  I would not be so sure, the “politically correct ” movement has gone so far (too far?) as to create a backlash where the “offense” is being taken by the believers and the patriots.  I think this “backlash” will continue to grow!
To finish, I wrote earlier this year I thought people should prepare “physically, mentally and spiritually”.  I received many encouraging e-mails for publicly saying I am a Christian.  I received a few e-mails laughing at me for believing in an “eye in sky” or some such.  Let me say this, whether you are Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, agnostic or atheist …would it not be a pretty cool world if everyone walked the Earth and treated others like Jesus did as written in the Bible?  I believe in Jesus and believe the Bible to be a historical account.  If I am wrong, is not the life and deeds of the “character” named Jesus a pretty righteous way to live?
I wrote this piece because we have been divided so deeply as a society and have strayed so far from our roots.  We live in very dangerous times, financially, economically and geopolitically.  Americans were a close knot breed in the 1930′s during the hard times, I am afraid we will buckle as a society when our true and real circumstances are finally revealed.  Do not postpone until that moment your preparations physically, mentally and with your God whoever that may be!
