There was a time not too long ago when Americans were so patriotic, it
was palpable. You couldn’t throw a rock in any direction without

unanimous belief that we were the shining city upon a hill, and that we

Reports are now filtering in that preparations
for a direct military assault on Syria are being made by Turkey in
concert with the Saudis and Qataris. These reports are suggesting that
the military offensive will take place within the next few days. Some
reports speculate that such action could take place further down the
road in late June.
At this moment, Turkish forces are reportedly gathering at the nation’s southern border and Syria’s northern border in a fashion that can signify little except the posturing for military action.
While this article is in no way attempting to make predictions regarding possible military action, to provide dates, or even the hint that these possible attacks will definitively take place, the stage has clearly been set for some time for us to contemplate the possibility of such an attack.

We know that politicians will take the politically expedient path instead of addressing financial problems. We know they will “extend and pretend,” delay, and distract the populace.
We know that war has been a nearly constant distraction since 9-11 and that a crisis is often used as a justification for economic insanity, such as borrowing more to address an excessive debt problem. It seems likely that weakening economies, deflationary forces, excessive debt, massive unemployment, riots, economic anxiety, consumer price inflation, and so much more, will require more distractions. Modern formulations of basic logic begin with the statement: You can’t have A and not-A. Which is a way of saying contradictions are unacceptable.

For every farmer who sold out to Monsanto’s agenda, they’ll likely be kicking themselves in the plants soon enough. What
will it take for America’s farmers to realize that Americans don’t want
to eat genetically modified food when they don’t even want to purchase
it as feed for their livestock? Sorry Monsanto, but demand for organic food is absolutely booming.We’re importing organic corn from Romania, and organic soy from India. (Soybeans are the second-biggest US organic import, with $184 million shipped last year from various countries.) Much of our organic produce comes from Mexico.
As consumer demand for organic products explodes, America’s farmers seem slow on the uptake. Of course with rare exceptions, like the organic farmer in California that is grossing $100,000 an acre even during the state’s worst drought on record.
