England’s Farage: ‘The EU’s Failing, The EU’s Dying, I Hope We’ve Knocked The First Brick Out of The Wall’

by Michael W. Chapman, CNSnews:

In remarks following England’s historic vote to exit – Brexit — from the European Union, the head of the UK Independence Party, Nigel Farage, who has fought for Brexit for decades, said “the EU’s failing, the EU’s dying, I hope we’ve knocked the first brick out of the wall.”
Farage, a member of the European Parliament since 2010, also said the next step is to set up a Brexit government in England – Prime Minister David Cameron announced his pending resignation following the vote – and proposed that June 23 become a national bank holiday, “and we will call it Independence Day.”
“An opinion poll in the Netherlands said that a majority there now want to leave,” said Nigel Farage in a speech today, covered by numerous media (and video here from RT).  “So we may well be close, perhaps, to a Nexit. And similarly in Denmark, a majority there are in favor of leaving. So we could be quite close to Dexit. I’m told the same may apply to Sweden, and perhaps Austria, and perhaps even Italy too.”

According to the FBI the supposed Orlando shooter, Omar Mateen, entering the club around 02:00 AM and began his killing spree. Federal Court Further Erodes Fourth Amendment

In piecemeal fashion, our natural rights are being eliminated by the state
by Kurt Nimmo, Infowars:
Piece by piece, the government is dismantling the Bill of Rights. The latest blow came this week when a federal district court in Virginia ruled that a defendant has no “reasonable expectation of privacy” in regard to his or her personal computer, the modern equivalent of papers and effects.
The ruling stems from the FBI investigation of Playpen, a hidden services site hosting child pornography. Playpen was seized by the government in 2014 and used to distribute malware to people visiting the site. The malware collected information from personal computers and sent it to the government to be used in prosecutions.
According to an amicus brief filed by the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the government failed to use “scrupulous exactitude” required by the Constitution when it obtained a single warrant and used it to surreptitiously place code on thousands of computers. The warrant did not, as required by the Fourth Amendment, describe “the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Is Brexit The First Of Many Dominoes? A Few Charts

Boris Johnson Wins Key Support To Become PM As Labour Leader Foils Leadership Coup

In the short day since David Cameron announced his resignation, the UK is undergoing a chaotic and very much ad hoc politcal transformation, in the middle of which is none other than Boris Johnson, the leader of the successful "Leave" campaign, who however has cause to celebrate tonight because according to the Sunday Times, the former London mayor has won the backing of a key colleague to replace David Cameron as prime minister.

George Soros: "Brexit Makes EU Disintegration Irreversible"

"Now the catastrophic scenario that many feared has materialized, making the disintegration of the EU practically irreversible. Britain eventually may or may not be relatively better off than other countries by leaving the EU, but its economy and people stand to suffer significantly in the short to medium term. But the implications for Europe could be far worse."

Germany Says "We Won't Let Anyone Take Europe From Us"

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said today that the EU would weather the shock of the British vote to leave the union as he convened crisis talks. "I am confident that these countries can also send a message that we won't let anyone take Europe from us," he said heading into a meeting in Berlin of his counterparts from the EU's six founding members.

Facebook Introduces "Political Bias" Training For Employees

After the recent scandals involving Facebook censorship and reporting bias, one would assume that Facebook would lay low and let all of this fade with time, but one would be wrong. Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook's chief operating officer recently announced that the company would be introducing a "political bias" training program in addition to the managing unconscious bias class the company offers employees.

"Brexit Is A Bear Stearns Moment, Not A Lehman Moment"

Brexit is a Bear Stearns moment, not a Lehman moment. That’s not to diminish what’s happening (markets felt like death in March, 2008), but this isn’t the event to make you run for the hills. Why not? Because it doesn’t directly crater the global currency system. It’s not too big of a shock for the central banks to control. It’s not a Humpty Dumpty event, where all the Fed’s horses and all the Fed’s men can’t glue the eggshell back together. But it is an event that forces investors to wake up and prepare their portfolios for the very real systemic risks ahead.

Not So Fast: Scotland And Northern Ireland May Have Brexit Veto Rights

"... such measures would entail amendment of section 29 of the Scotland Act 1998, which binds the Scottish Parliament to act in a manner compatible with EU law, and he therefore believed that the Scottish Parliament’s consent would be required. He could envisage certain political advantages being drawn from not giving consent."

750,000 Californians Past The Age Of 65 Are Still Working

Regular readers are well aware that residents are rushing out of California in droves for many reason, least of which is the high cost of living. For those older California residents that choose to stay however because they simply can't uproot their lives and start "fresh" somewhere else, the reality is even more gruesome as they have no choice but to continue working into their retirement years. More than 740,000 Californians between the ages 65 and 74 are still employed or looking for work the

What Happened With LTCM Is Now Happening Across The Political And Economic World

What happened with LTCM is happening right now across the political and economic spheres in virtually all nations. You have a collection of self-assured, arrogant “experts” running the world into the ground with their policies. As I said earlier, I have no problem with experts. I have a problem when experts are permitted to operate with zero accountability. The EU represents such technocratic immunity better than any other institution in the Western world.

Global Institutions May Be Susceptible To Hackers, SWIFT Remains Vulnerable

The SWIFT rebuild will likely require the insights of an outlet such as Hyper Ledger, run by longtime Zero Hedge CDS and commodity trading icorn, Blythe Masters.  Hyper Ledger works with a consortium of organizations and corporations tasked with developing systems to offer protection for messages sent between  the worlds central banks, which will be based on blockchain technology.  A rebuild opens new concerns about the current integrity of the SWIFT platform and what problems may be lurking within it that we have yet to discover.

Goldman Sees A UK Recession, Shocked By A Fed "Tightening Cycle Unlike Any In Modern History"

Looking at the UK, Goldman says "we expect a recession – albeit mild by historical standards – in the first half of next year. The weaker outlook will also weigh on the inflation outlook. Meanwhile, back in the US, "our forecasted path for the funds rate now looks quite unlike any tightening cycle in modern Fed history—one increase, followed by an extended pause, followed by gradual but steady increases over the subsequent three years."

IMF Blames Bad Loans For Mozambique's Soaring Debt-To-GDP Ratio

Mozambique has a broad swath of problems within its governing councils.  Back in December of 2005, Management Systems International based out of Washington issued a report titled CORRUPTION ASSESSMENT: MOZAMBIQUE which said point blank: "The scale and scope of corruption in Mozambique are cause for alarm".

Anthony Wile: Brexit Is Part of Internet Reformation Building Around the World

from The Daily Bell:
After years of struggle against the EU, which we documented at The Daily Bell, anti-EU forces have finally removed Britain from the European Union.
The tribes of Britain were the first to make the jump back into fuller nationhood. But there will be other countries trying as well.
It’s a great day for Britain and a good day for The Daily Bell that has had as one of its main missions analysis of the “Internet Reformation” and the freedom building because of it.
While I am no longer involved in an ownership position with The Daily Bell, I remain proud of our accurate commentaries and predictions.

The Stennis and its battle group were deployed recently to the Philippines Sea along with the USS Ronald Reagan and its battle group, as tensions in the South China Sea escalate over China’s creation of man-made islands in that region.
The Spratley Islands are tiny islets about eight hundred miles off the coast of mainland China. China claims the islets, but there are competing claims by other nations in the area as shown in the graphic below:

In Surprise Analysis, Bloomberg Chronicles the Failure of Expert Propaganda

from The Daily Bell:
Do the Experts Know Anything? … This has been a terrible day for experts. Economic professionals were overwhelmingly of the opinion that leaving the European Union would hurt the United Kingdom. And until a few hours ago, the consensus of public opinion experts — at least if one uses prediction markets as a proxy — was that voters would in the end decide to stay in the EU. Didn’t work out that way, did it? Brexit won. Take that, experts! – Bloomberg
Now here’s an interesting reversal. A Bloomberg editorial that blows up a powerful dominant social theme – the competence of experts.
Experts are central to the evolution of the modern, globalist state. The technocrat is the white knight of the modern age, going wherever the need for his services is the most acute.

Doug Casey Debunks the Common Excuses for Staying In One Country

by Doug Casey, International Man:
Tell a person that it’s a big beautiful world, full of fresh opportunities and a sense of freedom that is just not available by staying put and you will inevitably be treated to a litany of reasons why expanding your life into more than one country just isn’t practical.
Let’s consider some of those commonly stated reasons, and why they might be unjustified. While largely directed at Americans, these are also applicable to pretty much anyone from any country.

Despite the Vote, the Odds Are Against Britain Leaving the EU — Paul Craig Roberts

by Paul Craig Roberts, Paul Craig Roberts:
The Brexit vote shows that a majority of the British voters understand that the UK government represents interests other than the interests of the British people. As difficult as the British know it is to hold their own government to account, they understand they have no prospect whatsoever of holding the EU government to account. During their time under the EU, the British have been reminded of historical times when law was the word of the sovereign.
The propagandists who comprise the Western political and media establishments succeeded in keeping the real issues out of public discussion and presenting the leave vote as racism. However, enough of the British people resisted the brainwashing and controlled debate to grasp the real issues: sovereignty, accountable government, financial independence, freedom from involvement in Washington’s wars and conflict with Russia.
