Dip-Buyers Panic Bid Stocks As Yield Curve Crashes To 9 Year Lows

McMansions Are Back And Are Bigger Than Ever

There was a small ray of hope just after the Lehman collapse that one of the most lamentable characteristics of US society - the relentless urge to build massive McMansions - was fading. Alas, as the Census Bureau confirmed this week, that normalization in the innate American desire for bigger, bigger, bigger not only did not go away but is now back with a bang. According to just released data, both the median and average size of a new single-family home built in 2015 hit new all time highs of 2,467 and 2,687 square feet, respectively.

Just Three Things

Historically speaking, it is unlikely that with reported earnings early in the reversion process that we will see a sharp recovery in the second half of the year as currently expected by the majority of mainstream analysts. As long as the Fed remains accommodative, the deviation between fundamentals and fantasy will continue to stretch to extremes. The end result of which has never “been different this time.”

Hillary Clinton Proves Democrats No Longer Oppose Endless Wars

She hasn’t yet been coronated, but Hillary Clinton is surely about to win the Democratic nomination. Sure, Sen. Bernie Sanders has given her an amusing amount of trouble, but she’s got this thing in the bag, because she’s got party loyalty, and she may even win the hearts of a few lost, sad little neocons running away from Donald Trump. Clinton also has the nomination because war doesn’t bother Democrats. They like to think it does, when they remember it exists, but they will risk no political capital whatsoever on making sure it stops, or making sure a warmongering candidate isn’t nominated or elected. During the last few decades, any semblance of an antiwar movement has withered under Democratic presidents.

It's Like Magic: Obama Calls For More "Generous" Social Security Benefits

“And not only do we need to strengthen its long-term health, it’s time we finally made Social Security more generous and increased its benefits so that today’s retirees and future generations get the dignified retirement that they’ve earned... We could start paying for it by asking the wealthiest Americans to contribute a little bit more.

How The "Rest" Of America Lives: Wanting For Work, Buried In Debt

The flyover zones of America are wanting for work and buried in debt. That’s the legacy of three decades of Washington/Wall Street Bubble Finance. The latter has exported jobs, crushed the purchasing power of main street wages and showered the bicoastal elites with the windfalls of financialization. In short, Wall Street loves financial repression because it inflates financial asset values and fuels debt-funded gambling in the casinos. But it’s the opposite of what’s needed in flyover America.

Paul Ryan Finally Folds, Will Vote For Donald Trump

"For me, it’s a question of how to move ahead on the ideas that I—and my House colleagues—have invested so much in through the years. It’s not just a choice of two people, but of two visions for America. And House Republicans are helping shape that Republican vision by offering a bold policy agenda, by offering a better way ahead. Donald Trump can help us make it a reality."

The Tanker Armada Off Singapore Starts To Unload As Gasoline Goes Into Backwardation

The number of tankers storing gasoline in waters off Singapore and Malaysia is dwindling as the fuel is sold off or shifted to cheaper onshore storage because of changes in forward delivery terms.

Rate Hike "Cycle" Remains Unlikely

If the Fed does manage a mid-year rate hike – which itself is uncertain – that would amount to the longest gap on record between the first and second rate hikes. A full-fledged rate hike cycle comprised of a succession of rate increases remains unlikely in the absence of a GRC upturn, which is not on the horizon. Furthermore, a recession starting late this year or early next year cannot be ruled out. Thus, rate cuts remain on the table over the coming year. Meanwhile, prospects for further rate hikes may run into other difficulties, given the global economic outlook.

Federal Reserve Reading List? Michael Lewis Will Tackle Human Irrationality In New Book

Simply put, "humans are predisposed to irrationality," explains Michael Lewis in his new book, which we hope will be heavily distributed to the Marriner Eccles building, as it will explain to the Fed why all of the models in the world can't help centrally plan an economy in which irrational behavior exists.

Hillary Clinton Explains Her "We're Not Building A Wall" National Security Policy - Live Feed

Hillary Clinton prepares to rebuke a seemingly anti-interventionist Donald Trump as she takes to the podium to explain why BenghaziLivesMatter and how she will keep Americans safe without building a wall, militarizing the police, and increasing domestic surveillance...

Thanks Obamacare: Texas Health Insurance Costs Are Set To Soar By 60%

According to the Houston Chronicle which cites federal regulator filings, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas - the state's largest insurer - has asked for rate hikes of nearly 60% for next year in three popular HMO plans. The company, which is the only carrier to offer health coverage in all of Texas' 254 counties, would not specify Wednesday what would happen if does not get the rate increase it says it needs.

It's Time To Ditch 4 Years Of Costly College For Directed Apprenticeships

So it turns out sitting in a chair for four years doesn't deliver mastery in anything but the acquisition of staggering student-loan debt. Practical (i.e. useful) mastery requires not just hours of practice but directed deep learning via doing of the sort you only get in an apprenticeship.

Trump Threatens "Clueless" Obama: "Will Hit Him Just Like I Hit Bill Clinton"

Obama is "a president who doesn't have a clue..." and if "he’s going to start campaigning... well, that means I’m allowed to hit him just like I hit Bill Clinton, I guess right?"

Meet Ability Inc – The Israeli Company That Wants To Hack Your Cellphone

That’s the bold claim of Israel’s Ability Inc, which offers its set of bleeding-edge spy tools to governments the world over. And it’s plotting to flog its kit to American cops in the coming months.

Hillary's Lead Over Bernie Sanders Evaporates Ahead Of California Primary

According to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News/ Marist poll, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are now deadlocked in California ahead of next week’s high-stakes primary, raising the prospect of a surprise outcome that would give Mr. Sanders confidence to carry his campaign into the party’s convention next month. According to the WSJ, Clinton leads the Vermont senator by just 2 percentage points among likely Democratic primary voters, 49% to 47%, well within the survey’s margin of error. The poll signals a closer contest than expected just weeks ago.

NATO Foreign Ministers Agree On Permanent Occupation Of Afghanistan

by Stephen Lendman, The Sleuth Journal:
Endless US-led naked aggression and occupation of Afghanistan continues – coming up on 15 years this October.
The 9/11 mother of all false flags was used as a phony pretext to attack a nonbelligerent country threatening no others.
Candidate Obama pledged he’d remove all US troops from the country straightaway if elected. They remain, part of endless US war and occupation.
Taliban fighters control more territory than in 2001, over half the country, US proxy Afghan forces ineffective against them, the US installed regime deeply corrupted.
US imperialism destroyed the country, killed millions and caused unspeakable misery for long-suffering Afghans. War continues despite Obama’s pledge to end it.

What a Carve-up, as Economists Fake Panic Over Brexit

by Tim Price, Sovereign Man:
JW: “..Someone like Neil Woodford, star investor, who set up his own fund; he says the fundamentals of the economy will be unmoved [by Brexit] either way..
RA: “Well I’m afraid that every, every serious economic forecaster would not agree with that..”
JW: “Are you saying he’s not serious?”
RA: “Not for economic forecasts, clearly.”
JW: “He’s an investor on behalf of pensioners.”
RA: “I’m talking about every major economic forecaster. A weaker economy means lower wages, lower profits, lower dividends, lower investment returns and lower pension contributions as well as lower pension fund investments. This isn’t some kind of conspiracy, this is consensus here… What do pensioners want more than anything else? They want certainty.”
– Today presenter Justin Webb discussing Brexit pensionocalypse with Baroness Ros Altmann, 27 May 2016.
Carve-up, n. “An act or instance of dishonestly prearranging the result of a competition.”

TSA Long Lines Part Of Scheme to Move Americans to Mandatory “Biometic Background Pre-Check System”

by Mac Slavo, SHTF Plan:
In a very classic sense, it is a strategy for acquiring more power.
Problem. Reaction. Solution.
Though the TSA has never been effective at catching or reducing terrorism, it has become very good at inconveniencing Americans.
Rifling through their things, herding them through x-ray machines reminiscent of Nazi policies, forcing people to withstand increasingly long lines, with many people even losing out on flights. All in the name of security.
After wait times across the country have made headlines and left airport travelers stranded and fed up, Homeland Security chief Jeh Johnson, whose agency overseas the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), is calling for a solution based in… what else… greater security.
Secretary Johnson is using the 2016 travel crisis to push for more sign-ups in its Pre-Check program, in which applicants undergo a rigorous background check and pay an $85 fee for speedy TSA screenings. Johnson dubbed it “the E-ZPass of airports.”

Clueless Americans Think Memorial Day is about LGBT Issues, Neil Armstrong & Emancipation

by Tim Brown, Freedom OutPost:
According to a 2000 Gallup poll, two-thirds of Americans knew what Memorial Day was about. However, in 2011, eighty percent of Americans said they had “little” or just “some” knowledge of what the holiday was about.
Commentator and reporter Mark Dice continually exposes the ignorance of the American people on a weekly basis. In his latest on the street video, Dice encounters Americans who are absolutely clueless as to what was the purpose of Memorial Day.
Dice asked people in San Diego what was the purpose of Memorial Day. The responses he got are truly sad, demonstrating the ignorance of the American people.

Do You Want to Be On the Red List? Keep Using Facebook

by Dave Hodges, The Common Sense Show:
University of South Florida communications professor, Dr. Kelli Burns claims to have tested a hunch that the social media giant’s mobile application is listening to everything you say and providing ads based on that content, and discovered it was true.
Burns actually performed the same anecdotal test that I performed last year when I because suspicious that Facebook was listening and providing ad content based on what I was within earshot of computer.
Further, this even gets creepier as I have an unnamed source that says that if you have Facebook on your mobile, Facebook is recording every word you say and is providing ads on websites you visit based upon your communications. This source says that even when your mobile is off, Facebook is still recording every word you say, as well as what is being said to you and around you. Do you find unnamed sources unbelievable? Well, Professor Burns found the same when she conducted her own test involving telly confederates.

8 Lessons That We Can Learn From The Epic Economic Meltdown In Venezuela

by Michael Snyder, End Of The American Dream:
We are watching an entire nation collapse right in front of our eyes. As you read this article, there are severe shortages of just about anything you can imagine in Venezuela. That includes food, toilet paper, medicine, electricity and even Coca-Cola. All over the country, people are standing in extremely long lines for hours on end just hoping that they will be able to purchase some provisions for their hungry families. At times when there hasn’t been anything for the people that have waited in those long lines, full-blown riots have broken out. All of this is happening even though Venezuela has not been hit by a war, a major natural disaster, a terror attack, an EMP burst or any other type of significant “black swan” event. When debt spirals out of control, currency manipulation goes too far and government interference reaches ridiculous extremes, this is what can happen to an economy. The following are 8 lessons that we can learn from the epic economic meltdown in Venezuela…

This Could Soon Lead to the Collapse of the U.S. Dollar

by Nick Giambruno, International Man:
“I did not have sexual relations with that woman.”
“Read my lips: no new taxes.”
“We were not trading arms for hostages.”
Politicians are professional liars. They do it every day. And they usually do it without any consequences.
I’d bet that Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, and Ronald Reagan, who told the three lies quoted above, didn’t think twice about them.
But the lies would all come back to haunt and humble them. Those words cost Bush senior his reelection.
