Anti-Trump Dissidents Disrupt Convention, Fail To Stop Nomination...

In a brief period of excitement (especially for completely unbiased John Harwood), Republican factions trying to stop Donald Trump's nomination noisily disrupted a vote on party convention rules. But, as The Hill reports, the Republican National Committee ignored the outcry from the angry delegates and adopted the convention's rules by a voice vote, rebuffing shouts by those looking to mount a last-ditch effort to sink Donald Trump. FOX reports the Trump camp is said to be "livid" at the revived push.

The Crisis can be economic, cultural, religious, military, or all the above."

Don't Reform The Fed, Fed-Exit!

Citi Is Stunned How Quick The "Extraordinary Political Backdrop" Is Deteriorating

"These developments point to a marked increase in political risks in systemically-significant countries. At the start of the year, we flagged many of these as  well as introducing our thesis that rising Geopolitical Risks, accompanied by rising "Vox Populi" risks such as Brexit and changing US politics, were at risk of converging in new and powerful ways. Even so, we did not anticipate quite how many would transpire, let alone within such a compressed timeframe."

"We also call for a reintroduction of Glass-Steagall, which created barriers between what big banks can do."

Turkey Caught Fabricating Story Of Who Is Responsible For "Military Coup"

"It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Race-War In America"

"There are few things in life one can predict with certainty, but given the grave events of recent weeks, it is hard to see how deadly gunplay might be avoided at the 2016 Republican convention... Maybe it’s time for the Black President, Mr. Obama, to just come out and tell the black population that their grievances against the police are trumped up."

No, Donald, It’s Not A ‘World War’

by David Stockman, David Stockman’s Contra Corner:
Actually, the Nice horror was the demented suicide of a wretch who recently got fired, divorced and arrested for road rage, not a planned jihadi terrorist attack.
Beyond that, the real jihadi threat is rooted in blowback, and combatting it is a domestic police function. Enough militatistic bellicosity already!
The inconvenient truth is, Washington and its NATO vassals have brought bombs, drones, occupations and slaughter to towns and villages throughout the greater middle east for upwards of three decades. It is that senseless intervention and aggression that has fueled the rise of vengeful barbarians who operate under the ideological cover of a twisted Sunni jihaddism.
In fact, it was the Bush/Clinton/Obama wars which gave rise first to al-Qaeda and then to ISIS. In very substantial degree Washington trained them, armed them and then incited them to their anti-western rampages.

Below is the official video of the Seattle City Council’s Select Committee on Seattle City Light’s Strategic Plan 2017-2022 held on July 14, 2016 chaired by Seattle’s Celebrity Socialist, Kshama Sawant. What you are about to see is Seattle City Council members and a CEO of Seattle City Light (SCL) – for the first time in memory – actually beginning to behave as statespersons, rather than as tools of the corporate state, and some Seattle “smart” meter truth activists and their unseen associates modeling for others how to use the new peaceful but powerful multifaceted, collaborative paradigm with which they also can pursue their causes successfully. Is Putin’s Purge Of Top Russian Commanders An Advance Warning Of Large-Scale Military Action In The Near Future?

by Jeremiah Johnson, SHTF Plan:
In a previous article on the U.S. backing Russia into a corner and provoking a response that can lead to WWIII, we referenced the following report from the Daily Mail: Putin sacks EVERY commander in his Baltic fleet in Stalin-style purge.
The information is important, because the article details the importance of Kaliningrad, the westernmost Russian military staging base on the Baltic and the hub of a tremendous amount of posturing by Russian forces to counter the US-NATO buildup in the area. Kaliningrad is detailed in purpose and history, and this in itself is important to understand in order to follow future movements and deployments by Russia. There is another, subtler reason the article’s information is critical to understand: the mind of a Russian leader who was “brought up” and schooled in the Soviet system of warfare.

Top Turkish Official Accuses US of Being Behind Failed Coup Attempt

from The Anti Media:
When earlier today we reported that Turkey has closed the airspace above, and suspended all US-led air missions out of the giant Incirlik airbase (which houses some 50 US nuclear bombs), we said that there is speculation the “airbase may be held “hostage” by Ankara as a bargaining chip ahead of demands for the extradition of Erdogan’s arch enemy, Fethullah Gulen, currently a resident of the state of Pennsylvania.” A few hours later this was partially validated when during a televised speech, Turkish President Erdogan called on the United States to extradite Fethullah Gulen, a US-based Muslim cleric he accuses of being behind Turkey’s failed coup attempt.

ABC: 72% Believe Clinton Too Willing to Bend the Rules

by David Rutz, Washington Free Beacon:
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s private email scandal continues to be a drag on her numbers with the public, with a new ABC News / Washington Post poll out Sunday showing a whopping 72 percent believe she is too willing to bend the rules.
FBI Director James Comey’s criticism of Clinton’s “extremely careless” email practices are a large factor in Clinton’s struggles to win the public’s trust. Although she was not charged with mishandling classified material, the damage to her public image has been significant.
She led Republican rival Donald Trump 47-to-43 percent in their matchup, but that was a steep drop from the 12-point advantage she enjoyed last month. Fifty-eight percent of registered voters in the poll said they were dissatisfied with choosing between Trump and Clinton.

Turkey’s Breaking Point or Who’s To Blame in the “Coup Attempt”

by Martin Berger, New Eastern Outlook:
The latest crisis in Turkey triggered by the so-called military coup attempt is not the first of its kind. Military coups have become a sort of tradition laid down first by the Young Turks, or even the Janissaries. One must note that the “Young Turk Revolution” in 1908 too began as a military coup. Turkish military elites were behind the military coups of May 1960, March 1971, and September 1980, appearing upon the political scene each time when there was a need to defend the gains of the Kemalist Republic. Back in 1997 it was the military elites that forced Turkish Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan to shift Turkish laws toward secularism.
It is a fairly well known fact that Turkey’s military forces are a stronghold of Kemalism. Young Turkish students, the future officers, since their first days of training the spirit of unconditional devotion to the revolutionary achievements of Kemal Ataturk” impressed upon them. At the same time, most radical parties behind the cloak of Islam in Turkey have always despised the army who seems to be always standing in their way. Every attempt they make to strengthen their positions within the political arena have always ended with military coups.
