Turkish Coup Attempt Loses Momentum: Erdogan Is Back In Istanbul After Turks Take To The Streets, Clash With Army

Caught On Tape - CNN Reporter Cut Off Air As She Critiques Hillary Clinton

So did CNN intentionally pull the plug on its reporter, or was it just a convenient coincidence. We’ll let you decide...

UK Luxury Property Sales Collapse Post-Brexit

Things just went to '11' on the Spinal Tap amplifier of Britain's property market. Having detailed the numerous 'dominoes' that have begun to fall, and the start of forced real asset liquidations, the hard data from Britain's Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors suggests Brexit just killed the British housing market... and even more crucially, as Bloomberg reports, a measure of London (luxury) home-price changes crashed to its weakest since the financial crisis as the U.K.’s vote to leave the EU sent shock waves across the nation.

India's 'Gold Shirt Man' Stoned-And-Sickled To Death By Mob

Datta Phuge took the interwebs by storm three years ago when we introduced the $250,000 22-karat-gold-shirt-wearing 32-year-old Indian who proclaimed "I know I am not the best looking man but surely no woman could fail to be dazzled by this shirt?" showing the world that gold is much more than a barbarous relic. Sadly, as The BBC reports, "the gold man" was murdered overnight - found stoned-and-sickled to death near his home in Dighi, India.

Pokemania: Nintendo Just Became The Most-Traded Stock In Japanese History

Thanks to the fad-tastic launch of Pokemon GO - more popular than porn - Nintendo stock has exploded over 93% in the last 7 days (the most ever) to 6 years highs. But the Pokemania was really in the trading volume where 476 billion yen changed hands for the highest daily turnover on the Tokyo Stock Exchange this century...

French Government Forced To Admit It "Suppressed News Of Gruesome Torture" At Bataclan Massacre

A French government committee has heard testimony, suppressed by the French government at the time and not released to the media, that the killers in the Bataclan tortured their victims on the second floor of the club... "Wahhabist killers apparently gouged out eyes, castrated victims, and shoved their testicles in their mouths. They may also have disemboweled some poor souls. Women were stabbed in the genitals..."

What Is Helicopter Money? Goldman Explains

Here is a useful primer for all those wondering just what is coming, courtesy of Goldman Sachs, which explains the nuances of monetary policy's endgame: Helicopter Money.

Who Gave Us Justice Ginsburg?

The federal code of judicial conduct for U.S. judges states that a “judge should not... publicly endorse a candidate for public office.” But does not Ginsburg’s relentless trashing of Trump constitute a political attack on him, to help his opponent Hillary Clinton? Ginsburg “should resign from the Court before she does the reputation of the judiciary more harm,” says the Journal. There is a precedent...

Friday Humor? Obama's 11-Point Response To The French Tragedy

"No one needs a commercial truck this large.... If it will save the life of even a single child, we must rid our society of trucks."

Media Blames Truck, Not Terrorists or Islam, For Nice Attack

Will banning trucks stop more violence?
by Paul Joseph Watson, Infowars:
Leftist media outlets reacted to the devastating attack in Nice not by blaming Islam or even terrorists, but by suggesting that an inanimate object – the truck – was responsible for the carnage.
Instead of pointing the finger at Islamists, CNN, CBC and the New York Times all published headlines that served to hide the true nature of the attack.
CBC reported, “Children feared killed in Nice as truck attacks family event”. Presumably, the truck was somehow able to manifest artificial intelligence and plough itself through dozens of victims.

US Government Releases Redacted "28 Pages" Missing From 9/11 Report

Unleash the revisionist history. The missing 28 pages from the 9/11 report begin as follows: "While in the United States, some of the September 11 hijackers were in contact with, and received support from, individuals who may be connected to the Saudi Government..."

Weekend Reading: If I Was Janet Yellen

Unfortunately, for Janet, this is the 'trap'. The liquidity will dry up, the inventory restocking cycle will end, and the next “crisis” will be on the horizon with Ms. Yellen remaining stuck near the “zero bound.”  The past opportunities to “normalize” interest rate policy have come and gone. This opportunity will likely pass also and, as always, the Fed will realize far too late they are trapped. But by then, it won’t matter much to investors, or what’s left of them, anyway.

Sold Out on Amazon: Maisto Die Cast Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Predator Drone

from SGT report, via
Not quite sure what to buy little Timmy for his 8th Birthday? How about the…
Maisto Fresh Metal Tailwinds 1:97 Scale Die Cast United States Military Aircraft – US Air Force Medium Altitude, Long Endurance, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) RQ-1 Predator with Display Stand
Not convinced? Read these reviews:
Helped me teach my son about the Imperial forces
My son is very interested in joining the Imperial forces when he grows up. He says he’s not sure if he wants to help police the homeland or if he wants to invade foreign countries. So I thought a new Predator drone toy would be a nice gift for him. These drones are used both domestically and internationally, to spy on people and assassinate them at the Emperor’s discretion. He just loves flying his drone around our house, dropping Hellfire missiles on Scruffy, our dog. He kept saying that Scruffy was a terror suspect and needed to be taken out. I asked him if Scruffy should get a trial first, and he quoted Lindsay Graham, Imperial Senator: “Shut up Scruffy, you don’t get a trial!” I was so proud. I think I’ll buy him some video games that promote martial law for Christmas.
I have two words for you, ‘predator drones.’ You will never see it coming.
You’ve had a busy play day – You’ve wiretapped Mom’s cell phone and e-mail without a warrant, you’ve indefinitely detained your little brother Timmy in the linen closet without trial, and you’ve confiscated all the Super-Soakers from the neighborhood children (after all, why does any kid – besides you, of course – even NEED a Super-Soaker for self-defense? A regular water pistol should be enough). What do you do for an encore?
That’s where the US Air Force Medium Altitude, Long Endurance, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) RQ-1 Predator from Maisto comes in. Let’s say that Dad has been labeled a terrorist in secret through your disposition matrix. Rather than just arrest him and go through the hassle of trying and convicting him in a court of law, and having to fool with all those terrorist-loving Constitutional protections, you can just use one of these flying death robots to assassinate him! Remember, due process and oversight are for sissies.

Finally, China Pushes Too Hard and Rare-Earth Mining Begins Elsewhere

from The Daily Bell:
By monopolizing the mining of rare-earth metals, China could dictate the future of high-tech … This year, global consumption is expected to be about 155,000 tons, far more than the 45,000 tons used 25 years ago. Demand will only grow — likely at an accelerated pace — as the world tries to rein in climate change. At the moment, only China can satisfy that hunger. Yet in 2010, Beijing cut rare-earth exports by 40 percent — possibly to boost its high-tech sector — and cut off supplies to Japan over a territorial dispute. – Foreign Policy
We’ve dealt with the rare-earth scarcity myth several times. But it continues to reoccur in the mainstream media.
The article above mentions that China cut supplies of rare-earth metals to Japan.

Extended Blackouts: Power Grid Completely Vulnerable to Sabotage: “America Could Go Dark”

by Mac Slavo, SHTF Plan:
As if there isn’t enough to worry about already, it seems there is new confirmation that our entire society is hanging by a thread.
The 21st Century is run off of electricity, and in the United States, that electric grid is woefully out of date – and that has left the country quite vulnerable. People’s daily lives depend upon reliable energy, and there are many, such as hospital patients, whose very survival depends upon electricity in the short term.
But in the event of a long-term outage, nearly everyone’s lives would be placed in jeopardy, as commerce, deliveries, fuel, communications and more would grind to a halt.
According to the Wall Street Journal made clear in their special report, the dated grid is completely vulnerable to attack:

What If the Consensus on Small-Scale Toolmaking and Agriculture Is Wrong?

by Charles Hugh Smith, Of Two Minds:
The idea that food is globally incredibly cheap right now doesn’t compute in the mainstream narrative.
In the consensus view, agriculture is only profitable on a mega-farm corporate scale, and tool-making has been offshored because it’s unprofitable to manufacture stuff in the U.S. But what if both of these “obvious” consensus opinions are flat-out wrong? What if small-scale farming and toolmaking are both potentially profitable?
Perhaps we should be asking: what if the highest future profits will belong to small-scale agriculture and manufacturing, not Wall Street or Silicon Valley? This idea is so far out of the mainstream that it is widely considered “impossible:” nothing could be more profitable than politically sacrosanct “too big to fail” Wall Street banks or quasi-monopoly tech giants.

German Bond Rates So Negative They are Now Offering them with No Interest!

from Rogue Money:
As the world bond markets rush towards flooding the financial system with a deluge of negative rate paper, one has to ask the simple question… how many central bankers does it take to get to the center of a 10 year German Bund?
If you don’t know the answer to this play on words for an old Saturday morning tootsie pop commercial, then don’t feel bad because neither do I. However, with the magic of distorted economics and the miracle of Bundesbank monetary policy, we have now discovered what is at the end of negative interest rates for German paper.
No interest at all!

10 Facts About The Great Depression

by Gaye Levy, The Sleuth Journal:
There is a poem by Margaret Jang that begins “To know your future, you must know your past”. And such it is with the events of today and the Great Depression.
The more I learn, the more I want to know because after all, while the PTB and the main stream media report that the economy is once again growing and things are looking just swell, a walk down Main Street paints a very different picture. In communities across the country, people are still unemployed (or underemployed), they are still being forced out of their homes, and they are still going hungry.
Books, films, newspaper accounts and personal journals all contribute to our knowledge of the events that caused the market crash of 1929 and the Great Depression that followed. I find myself devouring them all so that I can learn and prepare for the hard times ahead. My favorites, however, are the personal stories from those who lived through it.

The Curious Case of Vanishing Lady Liberty; Only Gold and Silver Remember Her

from Money Metals:
The very first word anyone ever saw on a circulating United States coin was the word “LIBERTY.”
From half-cents to silver dollars, each featured the likeness of an unnamed woman. The images varied, thanks to different engravers, but together they became recognized as Lady Liberty.
Many, maybe most, of young America’s citizens were illiterate. “Liberty” may have been the first word they ever learned to read.
