10,000 armed men enter Syria for civil war

An estimated 10,000 armed men equipped with highly-sophisticated weapons, including anti-tank missiles, have reportedly entered Syria to help fuel the unrest in the country, Press TV has learned.
Informed sources in the Qusayr village in Homs say the terrorists crossed into Syria from the Lebanese border and that they have taken positions in the suburbs of the restive city.
Meanwhile, Syrian forces are still tracking armed groups fighting against the government of President Bashar al-Assad across the country.
Syrian authorities say while the Joret al-Shayyah neighborhood in Homs has been cleared of armed groups and calm has been restored in the area, clashes are still ongoing in al-Hamidiye, al- Khalidiya and Homs’ old neighborhood.
Syrian forces have also discovered the decomposing remains of nine people in the Karam Zaytoon district of Homs, who were killed by armed men.

As the historical record shows, Independence Day is a celebration of independence from:
• Tyranny under a government that respects no right to due process.
• Taxation without representation.
• Living as a “subject” under a government that believes it owns you.
• Being subjected to secret arrests and imprisonment, held without being charged.
• Oppression of the right to exercise free speech and public protest.
• Illegal searches and seizures, without warrants.
• Having your livelihood confiscated from you by an increasingly bloated government and its overzealous tax collectors.
Given that Independence Day is a celebration of freedom from the tyranny and oppression described above, you might wonder why America even bothers to celebrate the holiday these days. After all, virtually everything America once fought for in the Revolutionary War has now come back to haunt us all through the arrogant, bloated bureaucracy of our own government. Why should they accept to contribute to the financing of a 60 year retirement age in France when they have just raised it domestically to 67? Certainly, Germany would have a lot to lose with the implosion of the euro. Police Attempt To Raid Garage Sale, Get Kicked To Curb

San Jose police who violated the Fourth Amendment in attempting to interfere in a garage sale held on private property were kicked to the curb by informed citizens who stood up for their rights.
The incident occurred this past weekend at a garage sale where the family involved were selling replica BB guns.
The clip shows a police officer walk onto private property and begin handling the Airsoft guns while claiming he had received a report that the family were selling real guns. Two other police officers are also on the scene as the officer – Tom Tiphayachan shouts, “stand back, somebody called and said you were selling real guns.”

Pointing at one of the family members and saying, “I know who you are,” the cop claims he has the right to handle private property without a warrant.
When the family points out that the officer is violating the Fourth Amendment and is being videotaped, he soon backs away.
The police officers are then seen standing on the curb as the family tells them they intend to file a complaint for a Fourth Amendment violation without probable cause. “I’ve dealt with you before,” states Tiphayachan, to which ‘Shannon’ responds, “No, I’ve dealt with you, I’m with Copwatch.”
The people involved in filming the cops during the incident are members of Copwatch and CopBlock, two organizations that specialize in helping citizens document police abuse and harassment.

Plans to exhume body after lab tests find ‘unexplained, elevated’ traces of radioactive substance on leader’s clothes

The body of the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat may be exhumed over claims he was assassinated with a lethal dose of the radioactive substance polonium.
The Palestinian Authority has agreed to the exhumation of his body from a mausoleum in Ramallah on the West Bank so the claim can be investigated.
Arafat died in 2004 from a mystery illness, amid theories that he was killed at the hands of Israeli spy agency Mossad.
But a new investigation has concluded that a urine stain on Arafat’s underwear had traces of Polonium-210, the highly radioactive substance which killed Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko six years ago.
The 75-year-old’s widow, Suha Arafat, has called for her late husband’s body to be exhumed after the Al Jazeera investigation found the traces on clothes he wore in his final days.

The move toward utilizing computers to collect and decipher information is being seen across the intelligence community. On the US-Mexican border, developments are moving toward using computers to track border-crossers, film them with video cameras, and use software programs to analyze the data.

Today is the 4th of July.  Today we celebrate our freedoms and liberties that were won through the great sacrifices made by our founding fathers after declaring independence from the British Empire.  We have been celebrating the 4th of July for 236 years and in the beginning we indeed did have a lot to celebrate.  The 2nd American Revolution was fought in 1812 when we supposedly finally put the British out of our lives.
Now here today we find ourselves in a situation where in our Declaration of Independence could and should be re-issued to the international insurgents posing as our governmentEvery abuse outlined in our Declaration of Independence is at present being put upon us in a hyper-mode as provided by modern technology.

I guess what I am trying to say is that we should not be celebrating no more than our founding fathers were on July 4, 1776, as they could not celebrate because they had a war to fight, just like we have a war to fight right now.  Any celebration of freedom and liberty on July 4, 2012 is erroneous.

More than 1 million in U.S. still without power five days after storm

More than 1 million homes and businesses in a swath from Indiana to Virginia remained without power on Wednesday, five days after deadly storms tore through the region.
The outage meant no July 4 Independence Day holiday for thousands of utility workers who scrambled to restore lingering power outages.
Much of the damage to the power grid was blamed on last weekend’s rare “derecho,” a big, powerful and long-lasting wind storm that blew from the Midwest to the Atlantic Ocean.
Violent weekend storms and days of record heat have killed at least 23 people in the United States since Friday. Some died when trees fell on their homes and cars, and heat stroke killed others.
Energy provider Dominion Virginia Power said emergency crews were working around the clock to deal with 60,000 outages for its customers throughout Virginia as of noon Wednesday.

The interest rates on these bonds is set by a formula that was established in 1960. The formula was designed to insulate the SSTF from transitory changes in interest rates by averaging market based bond yields over a three-year period.
Bernanke’s Fed has set interest rates at zero the past four years. In 2012 the 1960′s formula has finally caught up with the SSTF. It got murdered on this year’s rollover.

This definition isn’t all that helpful without defining the word independent. Once again we return to the Merriam-Webster dictionary online and find these definitions for the word independent:
a. “not subject to control by others”
b. 2) “not looking to others for one’s opinions or for guidance in conduct”
c. “not requiring or relying on others”
Therefore, a complete definition of the word independence would be:
The quality or state of not being subject to the control of others, not looking to others for guidance in conduct, and not relying on others.
Now ask yourself, according to this definition, are you independent?
Anyone who answers that question affirmatively is either delusional, dishonest, or reading this article from the safety of a padded room in their local mental institution. Of course you’re not independent!

Gold investors putting their eggs in the QE basket

Commentators on the gold market are increasingly looking to QE3 as the likely catalyst for gold’s next up leg, what happens if it doesn’t come?
When the US launched its first quantitative easing programme at the end of 2008, it is fair to say the world was in a fairly parlous state and in the four months following that significant liquidity injection gold rose around 36%.
When QE2 was announced gold rose again but, by not nearly as much. As ETF Securities points out in a new note, by the end of the second round of QE  the gold price rose by 11% to US$1,500oz.
While these were impressive moves, the real price action happened in September of 2011 when gold hit its record high, not on a third bout of liquidity in the US but, rather, on the expectation that the Fed would have to step in again to help out the ailing economy.

But despite the current climate — perfectly illustrated by the never-ending series of “Homeland Security” reports characterizing the beliefs of America’s Founding Fathers as potentially terroristic — optimism about the future of freedom and American independence is growing as well.

On July 4, 1776, the Founding Fathers officially adopted the Declaration of Independence, written mostly by a passionate lover of liberty named Thomas Jefferson. In the document, those original American patriots outlined a series of bold and timeless statements that still reverberate around the world to this day: the idea that the “Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God” entitle all people to take charge of their own futures — including, if necessary, by invoking the right and duty to “alter or abolish” any form of government that becomes a threat to individual rights.

Why More and More Americans are Abandoning Their US Citizenship

In November, millions of Americans will trudge to their local polling places to cast votes in the hope of improving their lives here in the USA. Between now and then, a few hundred Americans will vote with their feet in the hope of improving their lives outside the USA.
Last year, nearly 1,800 Americans surrendered their citizenship. In a nation of 300 million folks, 1,800 émigrés is hardly a rush for the exits. But the recent trend is, nevertheless, intriguing.
As recently as four years ago, only 200 people checked out of America for good. Back then, surrendering US citizenship would have seemed as unthinkable to most Americans as declining a free vacation to Hawaii to pay for a vacation in Newark. It would have seemed as crazy as:










  • …giving away a brand new Aston Martin Zagato to buy a used Buick Le Sabre.
  • …surrendering your membership at Augusta National in order to start playing Augusta Municipal.
  • …trading away an original Van Gogh painting for an original Peter Max poster
  • …refusing a date with Mila Kunis in order to watch re-runs of her animated counterpart, Meg Griffin, in Family Guy.
  • …abandoning a beachfront mansion to live in your car.
