Liberal crank David Goodfriend and The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft joined Steve Malzberg on Newsmax TV to discuss News of the Day, specifically: Clinton supporters, money news, Clinton canceling her fundraiser, and Charlotte protests.
Jim Hoft dropped this bomb during the discussion:
“Hillary is in free fall. Everybody knows it. The campaign knows it.. She canceled her appearance yesterday. She had a fundraiser in North Carolina. They didn’t even give an excuse for it. They just canceled. They are rumors now that she’s going to cancel the debate on Monday. Some top conservative wrote me today… And she’s really going in the wrong direction. She spent $50 million last month and dropped 10 points. So it’s a free fall for Hillary. She’s collapsing like she did on 9-11”

I consider it self-evident that we are in the third and final stage of self-serving Imperial decay.
Though Edward Luttwak’s The Grand Strategy of the Roman Empire: From the First Century CE to the Third is not specifically on the rise and fall of empires, it does sketch out the three stages of Empire.
Here is the current context of the discussion of Imperial lifecycles: the U.S. defense budget is roughly the same size as the rest of the world’s defense spending combined:
Most people who don’t live in Florida are not aware that the state is kind of famous (or infamous, depending on your point of view) for sinkholes; in fact, they’re fairly common.
And, as reported by Daisy Luther, you may have recently heard some scuttlebutt about a new sinkhole in the state.
But there is more to this one than meets the eye, Luther reports – much more, in fact. As in, this one is poisoning the environment at a remarkable rate, and as usual, the Environmental Protection Agency has, for weeks, been in cover-up mode. So much for upholding the “public good.”
Nobel hypocrisy is notorious for favoring warmakers over peace champions, a rogue’s gallery of miscreants among their honorees – notably Obama, Henry Kissinger, Shimon Peres and Yitzhak Rabin.
If imperial-sponsored/al Nusra-connected misnamed Civil Defense White Helmets operating in Syria win this year, ignoble Nobel tradition will continue.
Created by Britain and America in 2013, they’re managed by James Le Mesurier, a former UK soldier and private military contractor in Dubai and Raed Saleh.
FORMER HEAD OF NATO MAKES STRONG DEMAND ON U.S. TO POLICE WORLD.
Anders Fogh Rasmussen, former head of NATO made the call in an editorial for the Wall Street Journal.
He expressed the necessity to counteract President Putin, adding that “Russia is obsessed with rebuilding the empire the Soviet Union lost.”
“The world needs such a policeman if freedom and prosperity are to prevail against the forces of oppression, and the only capable, reliable and desirable candidate for the position is the United States.”
The 3.5 million people of Puerto Rico are entering their second day with no power after a substation fire knocked out service to the entire island. The power outage has left schools scrambling to cancel classes and public hospitals forced to cancel surgeries.
Perhaps even worse, the outage caused numerous fires across the island as a result of malfunctioning generators, including at the upscale Vanderbilt hotel in the popular tourist area of Condado and at the mayor’s office in the northern coastal town of Catano.
I’ve worked through four bubbles – they all end the same…I think the flippers in Denver metro are driving the under $400,000 price to a frenzy and the over $500,000 in the burbs are dropping in price. Some of these flippers have 8-10 houses at the same time. A little jiggle and they will dump. Then the part time rental landlords follow in selling as the rental market gets tough. A trashed house or eviction usually puts these houses on the market… – – Three decade-plus Denver real estate professional and subscriber to the Short Seller Journal
Saudi Arabian support for terrorism is something most people are aware of, but in the face of Saudi Arabian and American denials of this reality, presenting it as an undisputed fact is frustratingly difficult without an official confirmation.
This is all beginning to change. At least some degree of Saudi Arabian involvement in the September 11 terror attacks has more or less been confirmed. Anyone who has even a limited understanding of the history of al-Qaeda and radical Islamism should be well aware that al-Qaeda was initially a Saudi-U.S. operation devised in the 1980s to repel Soviet influence in the Middle East; bin Laden, himself, was a Saudi national. Sure, fighters were trained in Pakistan and Afghanistan, but the money — and a bulk of its members — came from the Islamic Kingdom.
Organized crime. This phrase is now a precise synonym for big-banking in the United States. These Big Banks commit big crimes; they commit small crimes. They cheat their own clients; they swindle outsiders. They break virtually every financial law on the books. What do all these crimes have in common? The Big Banks commit all these crimes again and again and again – with utter impunity.
These fraud factories commit their serial mega-crimes, year after year, because the Big Banks know that they will never, ever be punished. On rare occasions, their crimes have been so egregious that U.S. ‘justice’ officials could no longer pretend to be oblivious to them. In such cases, there was a token prosecution, there was a settlement where the law-breaking banks didn’t even have to acknowledge their own criminality, and there was a microscopic fine – which didn’t even force the felonious financial institutions to disgorge all of their profits from these crimes.
Yesterday I told you how the US federal debt level is expanding at its fastest rate since the financial crisis.
This isn’t supposed to be happening.
The financial crisis is years behind us. The economy is supposedly on solid footing. The government keeps gushing about how much tax revenue they’re collecting.
Usually when government debt expands so rapidly it’s because they’re waging war, fighting a major recession, or financing some serious infrastructure projects.

from Zero Hedge:
Texas Governor Greg Abbott threatens to exit the federal refugee program saying that “while many refugees pose no danger, some pose grave danger” and that the “federal government lacks the capability or the will” to tell the difference.
After taking in more refugees over the past 12 months than any other state in the U.S., Texas is threatening to exit the federal refugee program, effective 9/30/16, unless the Obama administration agrees to new security measures intended to protect Texas citizens. Read More
Test firing of ‘Sarmat,’ a new intercontinental ballistic missile first-stage engine (ICBM), which will enter service in the early 2020s, has just finished in Russia. The weapons’ tactical and technical characteristics are classified as “top secret”. We are talking about information that we were able to obtain from the developers and from what we found out from our conversations with the military experts.
I stress that currently we are conducting engineering and developing work on the missile, and by the time we adopt it, it will undergo a number of modifications and changes.
