"We promise black days for all crusader nations allied in their war against Islamic State, in response to their aggressions against it, and what is to come will be more devastating and bitter."

Oil Hits Critical Choke Point: Why "The Market Faces A Round Of Rapid Stockbuilds"

Ian Taylor, CEO of oil trader Vitol said on Tuesday that "stocks of crude and products continue to build and these will weigh upon the market". Global distillate stocks in the developed world are close to a record high, in the thick of refinery maintenance season, and in the run-up to the time when gasoline use hits its summer high point, but interest in diesel typically fades. "Absent run cuts, the market faces another round of rapid stockbuilds once refineries return from maintenance>"

Belgium Ignored Warning From Turkey On Brussels Bomber, Erdogan Says

"Despite our warnings that this person was a foreign terrorist fighter, Belgium could not establish any links with terrorism."

Why Odey's $11 Billion Fund Has 5% Daily Swings: "It's No Longer A Market But A Battlefield"

"By mid-March the fund was rising and falling by over 5% per day. At which point this was no longer an investment market but a battlefield. On the day that Draghi came out with his massive market support operation, the stock markets rose 2.5% and then closed down 1.5% on their lows. Imagine how painful it was to see the markets bounce the next day and celebrate his success. At that point I reduced the short book by a third and the long book by 10%."

30Y Treasury Yield Tumbles, Signals Trouble Ahead For Banks

Safe haven buying is ignoring precious metals and piling into bonds today with the long-end notably outperforming (-6bps) today. This has compressed the yield curve even more, putting more and more pressure on the "rate-hike environment" hopers who bought banks like they were told...

Brazil's President Digs In: "I Will Never Resign Under Any Circumstances!"

It's all falling apart for Brazil's embattled President Dilma Rousseff whose political career could be over in a matter of months. With the impeachment committee in place and VP Michel Temer's PMDB set to break from the government, the fate of Lula's Worker's Party hangs in the balance. Meanwhile, the economy continues to collapse as last month was the worst February on record for jobs. As for the central bank, Alexandre Tombini is attempting to use reverse FX swaps to keep the BRL just weak enough to help the economy adjust and just strong enough to permit a Selic cut (or two). What could go wrong?

For Gold, "Tightening Isn't Frightening" Says HSBC

Gold has historically rallied for at least 100 trading days after the first hike by the FOMC, but as HSBC's Jim Steel explains, this time it could be longer. Steel sees three key reasons to remain bullish and forecasts USD1,300/oz this year (though warns that beyond that level, physical demand may weaken and help curb further rallies.)

One Of The Most Accurate Forecasters Of 2016: "S&P Is The Most Overbought Since 2009: Sell!"

"The US market is extremely overbought, and from a cyclical standpoint the SPX is trading in the time window of our late March/early April top projection. In this context, we see the US market vulnerable for a significant reversal this week, which we would see as the beginning of a tactical top building process and subsequent correction into deeper/later Q2."

Why Belgium Is Ground Zero For European Jihadis

"Returned Syria fighters are a huge threat... It is absolutely unbelievable that our governments allow them to return... Every government in the West, which refuses to do so [lock them up], is a moral accessory if one of these monsters commits an atrocity. ... Our citizens are in mortal danger if we do not restore control over our own national borders."

After Belgium, Traders "Fear The Geopolitical Effects Will Persist"

"This time, I fear that the geopolitical effects will also persist." The horrific events in Brussels are still resonating across Europe today. And, as Bloomberg's Mark Cudmore explains, despite what many analysts are saying, the real impact is likely to be more widespread than the very intense emotional anguish.

Trump "Agrees 100%" With Cruz's Muslim Patrols; Wonders Why He Didn't Think Of It First

“We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized.”

Recipe For Collapse: Rising Military & Social Welfare Spending

Sadly, nations get the leadership they deserve. Turning a blind eye to reality is not a sustainable "solution." Leaders faced with unrest, rising demands and dwindling coffers always debauch their currency as the politically expedient "solution."

In One Year The US Mining Industry Lost More Money Than It Made In The Prior Eight

For anyone still looking for context to the biggest ever collapse in commodity prices in history, one far sharper and now longer than that in the deflationary aftermath of the Lehman failure, look no further than the chart below: as the WSJ notes, the U.S. mining industry, a sector which includes oil drillers, lost more money last year than it made in the previous eight.

Oil Pumps'n'Dumps As DOE Reports 2nd Biggest Inventory Build In A Year, Production Drops

Following last night's API-reported yuuge build in crude of 8.8mm barrels (and draw in gasoline and Cushing - confirming Genscape's earlier report), DOE reports today an even bigger 9.36m barrel build - the 2nd biggest build in a year. Crude prices were confused as this massive build was offset by a drop in crude prioduction to Nov 2014 lows and a big draw at Cushing... but for now Oil is extending losses.

Bearish British Pound Bets Hit Record High As Poll Shows Brexit Most Probable

The campaign for Britain to leave the European Union has taken a 2 percentage point lead, according to an ICM poll, to 43%, up 2 percentage points from a similar poll a week ago and the highest proportion in favour of a British exit since ICM started its referendum tracker in May 2015. Bearish bets on GBP have soared to record highs as a split within the governing Tory party and the atrocities in Brussels have sent bookies odds to their highest yet.

From Benghazi to Belgium, Clinton Has Blood On Her Hands- Show This to a Clinton Supporter

by John Merline, The Common Sense Show:

Did you know that Senator Lindsay Graham, a Republican from South Carolina, told fellow Republicans to vote for Hillary Clinton before voting for Donald Trump? Is he out of his mind. Actually, he is, but that is another story for another time. Hillary Clinton is one of the most infamous figures in American history. She has a trail of bodies and corruption longer than any other politician in the history of the United States.
The following is a list of documentable legal transgressions by Hillary Clinton. When the reader has satisfied themselves that the allegations are in fact true, then I would ask that you would take this article and circulate it far and wide. We can never allow Hillary to set foot in the Oval office as the President of the United States.

We Searched Hillary’s Emails & Her Relationship With Rothschild/Rockefeller is Now on Full Display

by Claire Bernish, The Free Thought Project:

Hillary Clinton has been deemed a sure bet for the White House, as it’s widely speculated the inflammatory Donald Trump and socialist-leaning Bernie Sanders stray too far from establishment politics to be truly electable. But it wasn’t until an examination using Wikileaks searchable archive of Clinton’s emails that the establishment’s love of the Democratic warhawk became truly apparent.
Buried in thousands of the former Secretary of State’s emails sent via her personal server, are intimations of her close relationship with the infamous Rothschild banking family and hints for a potential Rockefeller-State partnership.

Soros Disruption, American-Style – Wayne Madsen

by Wayne Madsen, The News Doctors:

Eastern Europeans and Arabs are all-too-familiar with the political street hooliganism sponsored by global “provocateur” George Soros and his minions. Lately, middle-class Americans have had a taste of the type of violent protest provocations during the current US presidential campaign that have previously been visited upon governments from Macedonia and Moldova to Syria and Libya.
Recently, Donald Trump campaign rallies have seen highly-coordinated and well-planned political demonstrations in Chicago, Cleveland, St. Louis, Dayton, and other cities. The rallies were disrupted by highly-coordinated and well-planned protesters waving freshly-printed protest signs before awaiting television cameras. Such “rent-a-mob” actions are trademark signs of the involvement of George Soros and the “godfather” of political street violence, Gene Sharp, in disrupting the normal political process.

Most Unbelievably Scandalous Video Hillary Wishes Never Saw Daylight

from The Sleuth Journal:

Before you listen to this video, if you can, hit play without noticing how long it is. I’ll tell you right now now it’s somewhere between 15 minutes and 30 minutes. Look away while you listen to it. I was knee deep in something else I was doing, so it was playing in the background, and I never looked to see how long it was as it played. For the last 10 minutes of the video (which I had playing on a background window still having no idea how long it was), I just kept saying, HOLY CRAP, HOLY CRAP, HOLY CRAP, and I kept getting louder and louder until the neighbors must have thought I was losing it.

from Washington’s Blog:

What They BOTH Get Wrong About Fighting Terrorism …
Trump and Clinton both claim they’re the better candidate for stopping terrorism.
Let’s fact-check their statements and their records …
Clinton
Hillary Clinton is largely responsible for regime change in Libya (for oil and gold?), the war in Syria (to help Israel?), violence in Honduras, and the entire concept of “humanitarian war”.

Before We Even Know The Details, Politicians Rush To Blame Encryption For Brussels Attacks

from Tech Dirt:

You may remember that, right after the Paris attacks late last year, politicians rushed in to demonize encryption as the culprit, and to demand backdooring encryption before the blood was even dry. Of course, it later turned out that there was no evidence that they used encryption at all, but rather it appears that they communicated by unencrypted means. Just yesterday, we noted that the press was still insisting encryption was used, and using the lack of any evidenceas evidence for the fact they must have used encryption (hint: that’s not how encryption works…).
So, it should hardly be a surprise that following this morning’s tragic attacks in Brussels that have left dozens dead and many more injured, that encryption haters, based on absolutely nothing, have rushed in to attack encryption again.
